As the end of another year fast approaches, we find ourselves wondering just where did 2024 go? It has, as always, been a busy year for PDAS. Our Fawley branch goes from strength to strength, with many classes full with waiting lists. Our Dorset performance group showed their talent with performances on Portland. Alisha took her GCSE exams and is now well in to her teacher training, both in Southampton and in Dorset. Shannon has been busy with ASC clubs, Musical Theatre, Aerial and Acro classes on Portland, in Weymouth and in Dorchester. We will finish 2024 with our awards and Christmas Party.
2025 promises to be just as busy, with a show in Southampton in February and a show for our Dorset Branch at Weymouth College in July.
We are pleased to announce that we are now running classes in Dorchester as well as on Portland, Weymouth and in Hampshire. We have also added aerial silks classes to our timetable after Miss Liane, Miss Tegan and Miss Shannon all qualified to teach these classes.
We are delighted that this year, our show will be held at Weymouth College in November. This will give the students the opportunity to perform 2 shows, a matinee and an early evening show. We can’t wait!

Happy New Year to all our students and their families. We hope that this year will be better for everyone. Dorset branches, 11 years and over, please wear a facemask when entering the building and moving around to use the facilities, but as before, we don’t need to wear them when dancing. We have everything crossed that our show will go ahead on Sunday 30 January 2022 at 2pm. The students have worked so hard on their dances and we have the final push to make them perfect. We will be sending out a letter with final details and everything they will need for the day. We have been delighted with the support we have had towards our new uniform. The students look amazing in it, in fact some will be wearing it for the show. Thank you for continued support
What a year 2021 has been for everyone at Platinum Dance & Acrobatics School. We have been through some very difficult times but we have continued to work hard to ensure all our students can continue their dancing in a safe environment. We have also worked very hard with a new company to design our own uniform. We have now had the first delivery and we are delighted with it all. We have received so many positive comments form our parents and students.
Finally as we head towards the end of the last term of 2021, all our Dorset students are working hard towards our show in 2022 at Weymouth Pavilion. Our Hampshire students are working hard towards their assessments and some of the students will also be travelling down to Weymouth to take part in the 2022 show.
We would like to thank everyone for their support during 2021, let’s hope that 2022 is another brilliant year for everyone at Platinum Dance & Acrobatics School.
We are delighted to let you know that we have already received some of our new uniform, which 3 of our girls wore proudly when they represented Platinum at Weymouth Dance Festival. We are expecting the next batch mid-week and once payment has been received we will issue these. We have to say we are delighted with the quality of our new uniform and can’t wait to see more of our students wearing them.
